1. Find Out Which Month to Go
Our advice: Travel in November.
November is the best time to visit Thailand, marking the start of the cool, dry season. The monsoon rains fade, and the skies clear up, with daytime temperatures around 27–30°C. Whether you’re headed to Bangkok, the islands of Phuket or Krabi, or the cultural north in Chiang Mai, November gives you the perfect weather for beaches, temples, and festivals — including Loy Krathong, Thailand’s beautiful lantern festival.
If November doesn’t work, February is another excellent choice — sunny, less humid, and still outside peak tourist season. Great for island hopping and outdoor adventure.
